GARC founding story
Our Story

From a Shared Vision to a Global Alliance

GARC was born from the shared vision of Prem Bhandari Ji and Ravi Sharma — leaders who saw that Rajasthani communities around the world, while thriving individually, lacked a unified global platform.

Across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and beyond, vibrant Rajasthani associations were celebrating culture, supporting newcomers, and building bridges — each in their own way. But there was no umbrella body to amplify their collective voice on the world stage.

On 23 December 2024, GARC was formally incorporated as Global Alliance of Rajasthani Communities (GARC) Inc. under the Victorian Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 — a registered not-for-profit alliance dedicated to connecting these communities, preserving the Rajasthani language and traditions, and fostering collaboration on social and economic development.

PARAM USA (Philadelphia Rajasthani Mandal) represented by Dr. Ravi Murarka became GARC's first institutional partner, signing a landmark Memorandum of Understanding at Melbourne, Australia in 2024 that set the template for global chapter engagement.

Today, GARC connects 52+ Rajasthani associations across 15+ countries and six continents — from Melbourne to Mumbai, New York to Kathmandu — united by the simple but powerful idea that Rajasthan's heritage belongs to all of us, wherever we call home.
