About GARC Nepal

A Marwari community with deep, century-old Nepali roots

Nepal's Marwari community is one of the oldest and most established Rajasthani diaspora populations anywhere in the world — families that have been part of Nepali commercial and civic life for over a century. Kathmandu in particular hosts deep Marwari trading lineage; institutions like Marwari Sewa Samiti Nepal (MSSN), now in its 66th year of community service, have shaped the community's social infrastructure for decades.

GARC Kathmandu is led by Prakash Kejriwal Ji, Vice-President (Youth Affairs) of GARC. Prakash Ji brings decades of experience with the Marwari Samaj youth wing in Nepal, runs the LBEF education group, and now leads the global rollout of GARC's Rajasthani Bhasha programme for diaspora children.

GARC Kathmandu connects Nepal's Marwari community to a global network — and brings the global GARC programmes home.
